Perfect Sunday

First things first, we've started a blog. I'm working on a big 'About Us' post, but it's not quite ready yet. In the meantime, I'm going to just jump right in and start posting about our daily activities.

Today has been a perfect Sunday. After a relaxing morning with bagels, coffee and the paper, we set out for a long family walk. On our way back we saw a soccer ball sitting in the middle of a field and Sean and I couldn't resist kicking it around for a bit. Mason thought it was hilarious and had a great time chasing the ball around saying 'kik!'.

65 degree days in February aren't typical, even in Texas, so once we got home we quickly packed a bag for Mason and headed out for a picnic at Coffee Park. We stopped at the new Central Market on the way to pick up some delicious goodies for lunch. Mason sat on our blanket the whole meal and we watched kids throwing the football, adults playing volleyball, and lots of family activity on the playground. Once we finished eating Mason joined in on the fun at the playground. He made fast friends with a pretty girl his age and it was cute watching them play.

His first time getting a whole cheese stick without us cutting it up first

Still working on that cheese...

Yep, that's the cheese he's smiling about!

Mason went right down for a nap when we got home and I've been cleaning around the house while Sean washes my car. I can't promise that we won't have a beer on the patio before Mason wakes up, and then you can bet we'll spend the remainder of his day outside!
