Somehow our sweet baby boy is 15 months old. Can someone please explain to me how this happened? Time is going by so fast. Every once in a while I'll take a step back and just watch him, mesmerized at how amazing his little self is. When I see other 15 month olds I see a toddler - talking, walking, learning, playing...but when I see Mason I still see my baby boy. It is so hard to face the fact that HE is a talking, walking, learning, playful little person!
The 12-15 month period has been a very challenging, albeit rewarding, period in Mason's life. He is very curious and can get to just about anywhere he wants to go, so we have had to set some boundaries in his world. This doesn't always go over well with him, but our fingers are crossed that this constant training we're doing with him will pay off. We are taking a toddler parenting class that our good friend Lindsay is teaching and are so thankful for the things we've learned and started applying. The class covers topics such as mothers and fathers role, structure and routine, conflict, obedience, and everything in between. I'll do a post all about it when we're done with the class!
Here's a glimpse of what's going on in Mason's life right now:

Words/Noises
mama
dada (said in a scruffy voice for Sean - stay tuned for video of this)
dada (said in a normal voice for pacifier)
da (dog)
ah? (outside)
ga-ga (trash can - not sure where this one came from)
ca-ca (cracker)
ba-ba (bye-bye, and what he says for BeBe and Papa - he wanted to please them both I guess so he consolidated their names!)
bub-ba (bubble)
nana (banana)
ah (all done - this is said different than ah?)
kik! (kick)
ca (car)
ba (ball)
ya-ya (this is what he says when we ask him to sing)
brmm brmm (makes this noise when playing with cars)
makes a siren noise when he plays with his fire truck
started babbling gibberish all the time
Although I show him about 20 different words in sign language, the only ones he consistently does at this point are "more" and "eat". Go figure those would be the little food-lovers first two to learn!

I could not possibly love our little nugget any more. It is such a joy watching him grow and learn every day. Seeing him light up with every new discovery fills my heart with an overwhelming amount of happiness. His laugh can cure any ailment. His excitement to see his dada reminds me everyday how lucky I am to have them both in my life. Their relationship is something truly special and I look forward to all the memories they will make together.
Here are some photos I took while we were eating lunch and then playing outside yesterday. Take note of how clean his clothes are at the beginning compared to the end - such a boy!
