Last week the Easter events kicked into gear with an Easter-themed playgroup on Thursday and an Easter Egg Hunt that was put on by the North Dallas Early Childhood PTA on Friday. Our friend Lindsay hosted playgroup at her beautiful home in Castle Hills. We arrived a little early so we drove around the neighborhood for a bit until we found a pond/lake to walk around and look at the ducks and fountains. Once we arrived Mason had a blast playing with Laighton's toys (especially her walnut kitchen), and admired all the ladies in their pretty Easter attire.

On Friday Mason and I met up with the Pfeiffers at the PTA egg hunt. It took place on the Creative School playground, which is part of Walnut Hill UMC (incidentally, this is where he'll be attending Mother's Day Out in the fall). This was his first time to do an egg hunt, and it was cute watching him figure out what to do. A few rocks and pebbles ended up in his basket with the eggs, but hey, what do you expect from a first-timer? The egg hunting ended as soon as he found a huge sand box to dig in, but not before collecting five or so eggs. Once we left Sean met up with us and we grabbed dinner with the Pfeiffers, where Caroline got to experience first hand Mason's food throwing capabilities. From across the table he garnished her salad with a slice of bread while he impatiently waited for his food to arrive. Oy - our efforts to stop the food throwing haven't gone too far...

We have two more egg hunts to look forward to this week, one of which the Easter bunny will be at for pictures. Stay tuned for his reaction! After church on Sunday we plan to meet up with my family for Easter dinner. Hope everyone is enjoying spring so far and has a lovely Easter weekend!
